MAGIC WITH ELI!

Seventh grader and National Award Winner Eli Portala has set the magic world on fire with an astounding magical routine that encompasses silks, canes and even a girl production all while tap dancing to classic Broadway melodies. In August of 2002, Eli captured first place in the prestigious competition at the world famous Abbott’s Magic Get-Together in Colon MI. Abbott’s was founded in the 1920’s by Harry Blackstone Sr., and is considered the magic capital of the world. At 6 years old, Eli is by far the youngest competitor ever to take first place in America’s longest running annual magic competition. In February, 2003, Eli again captured 1st place and garnered rave reviews at Magi-Fest, the Mid-West’s largest annual magic convention.

Eli began performing magic when he was just 18 months old. By the time he turned three, he was performing on stage with his father, magician Andrew Martin. Since winning Abbott’s, Eli has performed with the Toledo Symphony Orchestra twice, shot a television pilot, entertained at numerous schools and charity events, and shared the stage with magic stars from around the country.
